Box Office

The Theatre's Box Office is run by volunteers overseen by the Theatre's professional staff. Box Office volunteers are responsible for selling tickets for all the theatre's performances and events, as well as often being the first point of contact for patrons entering the building. Their role is vital to the smooth running of the organisation and they provide a welcoming presence for our visitors.

The Theatre uses TicketSource website for it's ticket sales. Full training is given to Box Office volunteers in the use of this system. Some computer literacy is required.

Typical tasks include:

  • Selling, reserving and exchanging tickets through our TicketSource website.
  • Providing a friendly and efficient service to patrons purchasing tickets in person, over the telephone or by post.
  • Handling small amounts of cash, cheques, gift vouchers and using the payment card machines.
  • Redirecting enquiries to the correct departments within the Theatre.
  • Providing information about the venue to patrons. 

When are Box Office volunteers required?

There are three box office shifts, two on non-show days and three on show days. Volunteers are usually required to do one shift per week. 

Non-show days

10am - 1:30pm  Monday to Saturday

1:30pm - 5pm  Mondays to Fridays

Show days

10am - 1:30pm  Monday to Saturday

1:30pm - 5pm  Monday to Fridays

5pm - 8.00pm  (if the show begins at 7.30pm) Mondays to Sundays

Volunteers should be 18 years and over.

Our box office is accessible for wheelchair users. If you have any special requirements that you would like to discuss please don't hesitate to contact us.
