SHAKESPEARE IN THE GARDEN : GET INVOLVED

WHAT IS IT? Performances of scenes from Shakespeare to be presented in Strangers’ Hall Garden on Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th August at 5pm and on the Maddermarket stage on Monday 31st August at 2.30pm.

WHO WE NEED. We are keen to recruit volunteers to join the team that will devise, organise and direct ‘Shakespeare in the Garden’. Actors will be auditioned in June/July.

HOW TO GET INVOLVED. If you would like to be part of setting up and running this project, please email Tony Fullwood on tony.fullwood@maddermarket.org by Sunday 1st March.

PLANNING. Later in March, an initial meeting will be called for all those interested to plan the production, start developing a script and decide who does what.

THE PRODUCTION. The only confirmed details so far are that actors will wear costume and that lines will be known. Otherwise, there are no settled plans for how the production will be organised, the ‘shape’ of the event or which ‘scenes’ will be presented so, if you’d like to get involved, get thinking. In the meantime, if you have any queries please email Tony Fullwood.
