How-to Sew a Button
As our Head of Wardrobe, Amanda Greenway, puts it – now we’re at home with a bit of time on our hands it is the perfect opportunity to tackle that enormous pile of mending that has been accumulating over the past few months or even years! Don’t worry if you’re not a natural sewer though, Amanda is here to give you some tips and tricks, starting with how-to sew a button!

Amanda’s Advice:
- Use a crewel needle; they have a long eye which makes threading the needle easier.
- Before you start sewing on your button make sure it lines up with the hole.
- Keep the thread taut.
