Sunday
Playwriting Festival: Adaptation & Drama Winners
£5.00

Description
The Playwriting Festival is a celebration of the fantastic submissions made to the Norwich Players Theatre Company, earlier this year, as part of our newly programmed Playwriting Competition. Join us, as we celebrate local talent!
We invite you to join us on Sunday the 13th July for the first of two exciting and enjoyable presentations of the work of these talented authors from Norfolk and Suffolk.
The afternoon’s presentation showcases the winners of the Adaptation and Drama categories.
5pm – Main Stage Adaptation Winner – The Perfect Pain by JH Harvey.
5:30pm – Main Stage Drama Winner – Crossed Wires by Karl Minns.
And why not join us in the bar after the show for Writers Who Wine? A drink, a chat and maybe some networking…..
The Playwriting Festival covers two days of performances over two Sundays in July (13th and 20th). The plays written by the winners in each category will be performed on the Maddermarket Theatre main stage and the work of runners up will be presented as acted readings in Kemp’s Rest (off the Maddermarket front courtyard).
As well as the category winners and runners-up, we are acknowledging some strong monologues that were entered by arranging a workshop reading for them. Each participant will have the opportunity to explore the text and breathe life into new writing.
A hands on experience!
Please email Joe Flatt at Joe.flatt@maddermarket.org to book a place for either session.
