Catherine Lima sings the Peggy Lee Songbook
with
Catherine Lima (vocals)

Simon Wood (bass)
Tom Jiggins (drums)
This evening we’re delighted to feature London-based vocalist Catherine Lima accompanied by the house trio.
A charismatic and entertaining artist, Catherine has performed on the London circuit since 2001 with ensembles ranging from trios through to big bands, building a considerable repertoire and drawing on influences such as Anita O’Day, Hoagy Carmichael, Patricia Barber and Barbra Streisand.
For Norwich Jazz Club this evening Catherine will be blending together two shows that she’s created focusing on the life and music of another of her major influences, Peggy Lee. Drawing on the iconic singer’s back-catalogue of over 50 albums, this evening’s performance will feature hit standards such as “Get Out of Town” and “The Folks Who Live On The Hill” as well as choice selections from Lee’s blues output.
“Catherine Lima’s show ‘The Allure of Miss Lee’ is a very fine piece of work” London Jazz News
