Closure Information
It was with great sadness that we announced the theatre’s temporary closure on 13th October 2020. This was a difficult decision, made in order to ensure the theatre can make it through this time of uncertainty and survive to see it celebrate its centenary in September 2021.
We have strived to contact all customers who have been affected by this and our earlier lockdown closure. However, if you still believe you have outstanding tickets for a show that has been cancelled, or postponed to a date you cannot attend, then please email bookings@maddermarket.org. Someone will be in touch as soon as they can. Please do not call our office or box office phone lines, the theatre is now closed and there will be no staff on site during this time.
There are several options available to you if you have outstanding tickets:
- Firstly, you could donate all or some of your tickets to the theatre. We are a charity who relies on tickets sales and the kind donations of our supporters and the pandemic certainly has not been kind to us. Your donations will go towards our re-opening and our centenary celebrations.
- Secondly, you could receive a credit on your account for the cost of your tickets. This credit can be used against any future show at the Maddermarket upon our re-opening.
- Or finally, you can receive a refund for the cost of your tickets.
When you get in touch, please state in your email which of these three options is preferable to you, your request can be processed much quicker then.

Please note, any show that did not take place on the arranged date that is not listed here, will be rescheduled for either 2021 or 2022.
