Following her gig at the club earlier this year we’re delighted that Jacqui Hicks has agreed to return to lead a vocal jazz workshop.

A freelance performer, arranger, recording artist and tutor, Jacqui teaches at Hertfordshire’s Purcell School, sings lead vocals with the “Back to Basie” big band, and has performed for many years as backing vocalist & saxophonist with Shakatak.

Experienced in many styles including jazz, funk, pop, soul and gospel, she joins us this afternoon to offer hints, tips, support and encouragement to those who enjoy performing jazz standards with a trio and may also be curious to explore or improve their vocal improvisation. There will also then be an opportunity to perform in the evening showcase event at 8.30pm.

Doors 1.45pm / workshop from 2pm-5.30pm (with a 30min tea-break)
