Zoom Play-Reading Group Posted on 17th June 2020 in Maddermarket Blog
Suffering theatrical withdrawal? In need of a drama fix? Want to explore plays with the support of others?
We have the answer…
Join our Zoom play-reading group!
Roughly once a fortnight, a play will be chosen and the parts shared amongst the participants who are available to read at the scheduled time.
The chosen text will be sent in advance to all participants via digital download. As a participant you will be able to suggest titles and can just ‘sit in’ and listen to the reading if you prefer.
The group will be coordinated by Tony Fullwood, a regular volunteer director for The Norwich Players and a Trustee of The Maddermarket.
Who can take part?
The group is open to absolutely anyone, regardless of acting experience. Readings will embrace the opportunity to play roles of different ages and genders than you might usually get the chance to do.
Whilst it is anticipated that the majority of plays read will be those written primarily for an adult audience, the group is also open to young people. If you are under the age of 18 and interested in participating please ask a parent or guardian to make an initial enquiry on your behalf.
How to take part
All you need to take part is some free time, a digital device and a reliable internet connection. Zoom novices will be given any guidance required. There is no expense.
To join the group (or to hear more details about it) please email Tony Fullwood on firstname.lastname@example.org with the following information:
