The Theatre has a vibrant, busy Wardrobe Department, creating costumes for our in-house productions, maintaining our large collection of costumes and hiring costumes to other theatre groups and members of the public.

There are two main roles for volunteers within our Wardrobe Department:

  • Assisting our Wardrobe Mistress create, alter or repair costumes within tight deadlines. This work usually takes place between the hours of 10am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. Very limited opportunities currently available.
  • Our in-house productions often require a team of dressers to help actors into costumes backstage before and during shows, and make emergency repairs to costumes. This work usually takes place between 6pm to 10pm on show days, Monday to Saturday (with an additional daytime performance on a Saturday afternoon each month).

Volunteers may give whatever time they can spare, although we ask that volunteers providing dresser support are able to make an entire performance (typically 6pm to 10pm).

Volunteers should be 18 years and over.
